Stephanie A. Garrett, LMSW is the founder of Team Eli, Inc., an advocate, and an aspiring author committed to creating inclusive spaces for children of all abilities. As a proud mother, she credits her son Eli as the inspiration behind her unwavering dedication to advocacy and social change. His diagnosis with Autism Spectrum Disorder at a young age became the catalyst for her journey transforming initial uncertainty into a powerful mission fueled by love, resilience, and community support.
Since becoming an Autism Advocate in 2012, Stephanie has been a steadfast presence in the Bronx and beyond, collaborating with a range of organizations to host outreach events and provide resources to underserved communities. Her efforts have extended across boroughs, cities, and states, consistently centering equity, empowerment, and education.
Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and obtained a second Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University, where she developed a deeper commitment to clinical practice and social justice. She currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor, supporting programs that serve individuals with diverse needs, including those navigating housing instability, chronic health conditions, and behavioral health challenges.
She aspires to continue her academic journey by pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work at Fordham University, with hopes of being accepted into the program for the Fall 2026 semester.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Stephanie leads Team Eli, Inc., a 501(c)(3) and remains deeply committed to service, devoting her time, energy, and heart to uplifting others because for her, helping people is not just a calling; it’s a way of life.
