About us

Unity, Strength & Love

Team Eli, Inc. Team Eli, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, tax-exempted, under section 501c3. Aiming to bridge the gap between a-typical and autistic children by introducing talent-exploring activities while improving the academic performance of New York City children. This organization is design to raise awareness and contribute to the growth and development of our community.

Team Eli, Inc., started as “Team Eli” in March of 2012, in support of my son. Eli is a nine-year-old boy full of love and excitement. Eli was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) Classification under the Autism Spectrum Disorder just before his second birthday. Built on the words Unity, Strength &love Team Eli started as a small group in attempts to understand autism and the effect it had on our community. The empowerment, discipline, guidance, acceptance, and unconditional support received from family and friends outweighed the lack of understanding. As time went on, our small group developed into an organization and has been involved with creating awareness and initiating change since.

Although stationed in Bronx, New York, our work has been prevalent in other boroughs, cities, and states. Team Eli, Inc., joined forces with the Department of Education’s District 75, Morrisania Revitalization Corporation, Inc., CLUSTER, Inc., BOCA Pharmacy, The SEED School of Washington DC, and many other reputable individuals/organizations for an array of community outreach programs and events.
